Wine Country Pools and Supplies of Temecula offers Diatomaceous Earth (DE) and Cartridge filters for swimming pools and in-ground spas.
Swimming Pool Filters generally are one of three types, DE, Cartridge or Sand. If you are replacing an existing pool/spa filter any type can be used in place, however each filter has a unique advantage over the others.
Diatomaceous Earth (DE): Is capable of filtering out the smallest particles of the 3 types of pool filters. Contains a backwash valve to clean the filter without opening the unit. Requires DE powder to be added after cleaning. Backwash valve sold separately
Cartridge: Filters water better then sand and not as good as a DE filter. Does not need to be cleaned as often as a DE filter.
